I started making music in1997 when I stumbled on some music-making software called FastTracker II. I used to make almost one song a day, they all sounded horrible but to me they sounded great at the time.
Eventually I managed to produce something that actually sounded good and that was quickly picked up by an Italian label. The project was called ‘Doktor Noize Dj – the moon and the sun’ and can still be found on iTunes! Between ’99 and ’07 I produced countless songs some of which became quite big. A track called ‘Trance Unity’ which featured cheesy lyrics – aimed at bringing energy on the dancefloor – became an anthem for electronic dance music fans. Trance Unity was released in Germany, Spain and Japan (only on compilation in the latter) officially and reached many more territories via export
During this time I was invited to perform at dance music events around the world – needless to say this experience was great fun!
I never considered music my ‘real job’ but rather a great hobby that also generated some money
Unfortunately nowadays I do not have as much time as I’d like to dedicate to music production but I still enjoy it as a hobby!
