So I am guilty of not updating this website a lot lately! I know, bad bad!
The plan for the future is the following:
- This website will most likely get a major upgrade / layout change
- I will turn it into my personal & professional blog
- Music will still be a major part of it although I’ll probably blog more than post my own music
- I will probably talk about business and e-commerce quite a bit which is my main occupation these days!
- Overall it will become much more personal & professional than the current music site.
Now for the big question everyone is asking me! “Are you still making music? DJing?”
Short answer: “Yes, I am”
Long answer: “Things have been going quite slowly on the music side of things during the last year. As you probably know I had to stop producing my radio show and I haven’t released any new tracks in a while. This does not mean I have stopped completely! I still really enjoy producing music and DJing but I simply don’t have as much time anymore”.

One day I came up with an idea…what if 10+ DJs were to play on the same radio show, back to back, each with a 15 minute minimix?
Good idea! I organized this event several times on DI.FM – the show lasted 8+ hours and almost took the whole day airtime. Guests came from all over the world. Each of them submitting their minimix in advance – finally all minimixed were mixed together to produce a huge radio show.
These events got great exposure and demand to take part in them was huge but as usual – my main criteria applied. Give space to new talents!
The Competition
Given the interest in the show I then launched a competition where people could submit their minimixes to be selected to take part into the show. This was a unique chance for up and coming DJs to perform on an international show backed by some well known names. This mix of ingredients was explosive and The World in The Mix was a huge success!
Too bad it was so time consuming to organize as I would have liked to keep this going but…you never know what might happen in the future

Giorgio Ponticelli's freQuencies
freQuencies was my second radio show on Digitally Imported radio, Internet’s biggest radio channel for electronic music.
My philosophy on the radio show was to keep the rotation as fresh as possible. I tried to play new tracks on each and every show creating a unique playlist every time, the way I did this was by playing promos that I received directly from producers who agreed to have them played on the show. I have never been a fan of playing whatever music is trendy but rather the music I enjoy and I thought this was a brilliant way to promote talent at the same time.
Most of these tracks were unreleased, soon the show attracted a lot of attention from all the upcoming producers on the scene who saw the show as a launch platform for their music. A&Rs from a lot of different independent labels were regularly tuning into the show because of the “Fresh Rotation” – as I used to call it.
Guests were also regularly featured and a lot of the current “heroes” of the electronic music scene got their first radio play / DJ set on my show
